Alexandra Kachala, Esq. (“Alex”) is an associate with Ziegler & Zemsky, LLC and an experienced litigator and negotiator specializing in matrimonial and family law.
Known for being a tireless force when confronted with complex divorce issues including but not limited to equitable distribution, alimony, child support, custody, parenting time, cohabitation, adoption, and domestic violence, Ms. Kachala always remains empathetic to her clients and a source of comfort for them during times of heightened stress.
Ms. Kachala is also highly proficient and diligent in her preparation of prenuptial agreements and post-nuptial agreements as well as in her drafting of pendente lite orders. She has likewise successfully represented clients in emergent applications and post-judgment proceedings such as modification motions, emancipation, and college contribution matters, among others.
Prior to joining Ziegler & Zemsky, Ms. Kachala was an associate at the law firm of Pellettieri, Rabstein and Altman in Princeton, New Jersey. Before that, she served as judicial clerk to the Honorable Maria Korvick, J.S.C. in Miami, Florida.
While in law school, Ms. Kachala was the recipient of various book awards and was an active participant in both the Student Bar Association and the Association of Public Health before graduating on the Dean's List.
Ms. Kachala is fluent in Ukrainian as well as French. As an avid "sportsman" and athlete who enjoys playing tennis, skiing, and running in her spare time, Ms. Kachala has, to date, completed five marathons including the New York City Marathon in which she ran on behalf of Fred's Team and raised more than $6,000 for cancer research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Ms. Kachala plans on engaging in similar athletic and charitable pursuits in the near future.
